Tahoe Rim Trail
165 mile loop trail with 9 trailheads. The trail is open when the snow has melted off in the summer (mid-June) until the snow starts in the fall (late October).

Mount Rose Trail/Mount Rose Wilderness Area
20 mile trail with a wide variety of plants and wildlife.

Ophir Creek Trail/Davis Creek Country Park – A 12 mile trail with waterfall and a variety of wildlife.

Ruby Mountain and East Humboldt Wilderness
A 10.6 mile trail with high alpine lakes. Elevations range from 6,000 to 11,000 feet.

The Table Mountain Wilderness
98,000 acres with more than 100 miles of trails.

The Mount Charleston Wilderness
43,000 acres with a variety of day hikes including Charleston Peak - South (16 miles), Charleston Peak - North (17 miles), Griffith Peak (9.5 miles), McFarland Peak (13 miles), Mummy's Chin (8 miles), Mummy Mountain (8.5 miles).

Mokelumne Wilderness
55,000 acres with approximately 30 miles of trails.

The Hoover Wilderness
47,930 acres with a variety of trails offering steep, narrow canyons and meander across open meadows. A permit is required for overnight trips.

The Carson-Iceberg Wilderness
160,000 acres with nearly 100 miles of trails offering several streams, lakes and waterfalls. An overnight permit is required.

The Arc Dome Wilderness
115,000 acres with several trails providing access to the Arc Dome's rugged mountain terrain.

The Alta Toquima Wilderness
38,000 acres with a variety of vegetation.

Santa Rosa-Paradise Peak Wilderness
31,000 acres. A rarely visited place with rugged granitic rock formations, abundant spring wildflowers and wide, sweeping basins above pockets of aspen trees.
