Boston University:

The Boston University, an esteemed name in the field of Educational and research work is located in Boston, Massachusetts. It is privately owned for research work. The campus holds more than 3,000 faculty members and nearly 29,000 students, Boston University is considered as the fourth biggest university in the United States of America in the field of providing education to a massive population of students and is the second largest employer of providing services in the states. The University offers all sorts of degrees including bachelor's, master's, and doctoral .

Total number of colleges in The Boston University is 18 and the University is divided into two campuses.

The History of the establishment of this university begins from a school which was founded in Vermont in 1839 which later on moved to a place Boston in The United States of America in 1867 to become the Boston University. The university provides both the opportunities of Education and Research work in its office campus. The University offers around 250 degree programs and has 17 schools and colleges in its campus.

History of Boston University:

The main contribution towards the initial development of Boston University goes to the three founders of the university. Another name which is importantly linked with this university is of William Warren who was appointed as the first President in 1873. Warrens philosophy was based on the fact that equal education should be provided to both the genders(Male and Female) as there should not be any discrimination on the basis of sex for providing education. He made education important for all whether belongs to any class or any sex. .Due to some dispute and complications later on, the president and the trustees of this university decided to move to other place like into the heart of Boston which was on Beachon Hill. The university had started flourishing very rapidly and had opened so many colleges also by 1873. Some of the schools in the campus were The School of Medicine, The School of Theology, The School of Law etc.

The Boston University can boast about itself to be the first to establish a three years syllabus pattern of studies. The grading system of examination was also established in this university first.

The mission of Boston University with which the foundation of this university was laid is Providing the best education possible to its students. The Boston university has developed a lot in a small time period and many successful students have passed out from the university .The university provides not only good education but it is active in the filed of medical services also like it does medical research works too. John Silver who was elected as the president of the university in 1971 gave importance to the beautification of the campus also along with the education. The university has commitment towards providing best facilities to its teaching and research staff so that they can provide better education to the students coming from all over the world.

The Physics department of the university has state-of-the-art infrastructure in the campus. This includes highly precision and experienced design faculty and instruments

Its area of campus extends over 71 acres. The university is divided literally into two campuses which are due to The Boston University Bridge over the Charles Rive into Cambridge. These two campuses are Main Campus and West Campus. Main campus is that part of the Boston University where most of the schools and classroom buildings are conventrated. The west campus is the one which is used for academic activities like playing areas etc. The most recognizable colleges of the Main Campus are The College of Arts and Science, and The School of Theology. These two buildings possess a gothic style look and were built in late-1930s and 1940s. There are some other buildings of colleges also which were developed later like in 1960s-1980 which includes Mugar Library etc. The latest building added to the Boston University is The Photonics Center, The Student Village, The School of Management etc.

Courses Offered By The Boston University:

So many courses are there which are offered by The Boston University as the Introductory Courses. For this various categories are there for courses from where one can opt for predental, preprofessional or other courses. Some of the categories are like CAS PY 105, 211, 212, 241, 242 etc.

Boston University Cultural Life:

On the campus of The Boston University of The United States of America. Many cultural activities takes place regularly. These cultural activities not only prove important for the personality development of a student but also increase the unity among the students of the university. The university has its own Students union which is responsible for the entire cultural activist and concerts taking place there... The Huntington Theater Company at the Boston University is the showcase to the various artists for showing up there talent and performing various discussions and work there.

Summer Term:

Every summer The Boston University organizes two six-weeks sessions and one twelve week academic and one twelve-week academic session.
